What Is This Drug? Combist inhaler is a bronchodilator used to relieve reversible airway narrowing and breathing difficulty associated with obstructive lung conditions such as asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. It helps open the air passages, making breathing easier during episodes of tightness or spasm.

Classification and How It Works Combist contains two active components that work together to improve airflow:

A beta-2 bronchodilator , which relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways, allowing them to widen and improve airflow.

An anticholinergic agent , which blocks acetylcholine—a chemical that triggers airway spasms by acting on muscarinic receptors.

These two actions complement each other, providing stronger and more sustained bronchodilation than either ingredient alone.
